Costain Helps Flood Victims
21 January 2010
The Costain Group has come to the aid of people hit by the
recent Cumbrian floods.
The UK's leading contractor, as part of its community work
associated with the nuclear project at Sellafield, has donated
£5,000 to the Cumbria Flood Recovery Fund which helps businesses
and people hit by the floods.
Elaine Wise, Development Director for the Cumbria Community
Foundation, said the recovery fund total stood at £1.7million but
was still rising because proceeds from fundraising activities over
the Christmas period were still rolling in.
She thanked, on behalf of the Foundation all those individuals,
families and businesses who have made donations.
