Costain, the engineering solutions provider, is pleased to announce that it has won a place on OFGEM's technical advisory panel for its Electricity Transmission Division. The winning team comprised Costain engineers and specialists at Rhead Group, the professional services consultancy acquired by Costain in August 2015.

The scope of work, is to advise on the construction and project management of major transmission projects including:

• Subsea cable installation

• Underground cable installation

• Offshore platform erection

• Overhead line construction

• Geotechnical issues associated with large onshore and offshore construction projects
