Double Success In Teesside

15 February 2011

Costain Energy & Process’s Teesside office has marked the third year of operation with a double success.

The regional operation has just been recommended for certification for both BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management and BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management, by assessor BSI Management Systems.

“We have this certification at Energy & Process head office in Manchester, obviously,” says Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Simon Evans, “and we wanted to extend that cover to the office here.”

Although the Costain name is a guarantee of high standards, ISO certification provides an official stamp of approval should it be required by clients.

“Teesside Operation report into the Hydrocarbons and Chemicals sector and will primarily be pursuing midstream and downstream opportunities but will also remain open minded regarding revamp and upgrade opportunities in the Power sector,” commented General Manager, Peter Laing.

Costain Energy & Process has a successful track record in the Teesside region, having previously delivered major capital projects in the region for Conoco Phillips, Enron and ICI.
