Collaborative approach

Our collaborative approach helped us identify and eliminate duplication of effort and empower the right people to clear decisions through defined stage gates, reducing project start dates from feasibility to construct by weeks.

The Costain team developed a method for stringing operations where we no longer required scaffolding and netting at road crossings. This resulted in substantial cost savings, safer working techniques and reduced man hours on site.

Our Aerial Catenary Support System eliminates the need for scaffolding and safety nets.

Costain is a relatively new supplier to the power transmission and distribution industry. Our teams of experts have significant experience at working on voltages from 33kV to 400kV and as a result we were trusted to deliver the overhead line framework contract for UK Power Networks to bring safe, reliable and sustainable electricity to their customers in the east of England.

We’re using innovative engineering solutions to deliver value to the customer. The framework may be extended for eight more years. We hope innovation will help us win that extension.
