About Leanne
Leanne’s typical working day is all about communication. With clients, key account directors, capability account leads and fellow consultancy discipline leads. It’s her job to understand new and ongoing consultancy opportunities and fulfil subsequent requirements. She spends time with her PMO team, recruiters and PMO and project control leads across the business to ensure that Costain is continually improving and developing its offering. She is also lucky enough to mentor project controllers across the business and work on the development of key PMO and project control processes.

“Any project controller or PMO professional will tell you that early engagement and having a great team is the key to a successful project. Tools and process are of great importance but without the right people they may not be adequately implemented. Costain has great strength and depth in PMO and project control capability - especially when it comes to standing up PMO and project control environments.
What does Leanne think is the most common misunderstanding of her discipline?
Project controls can be undervalued and overlooked by those not understanding the benefits that the discipline can deliver. It’s Leanne’s view that her team offers so much more than analysing and reporting.
