A Night Of Excellence

9 February 2012
The Costain Group staged this week its Achieving Excellence Awards at the Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, in Maidenhead.
Dame Kelly Holmes, double Olympic gold medallist, presented the Awards which attracted a record 1,545 nominations. The Awards celebrate some of the many achievements and outstanding performances of Costain people.
This year, for the first time, there was a Costain Cares Award presented to Richie Stripp and Tony Austin, who work for AONE+, a joint venture between Costain, Colas and Halcrow, which maintains motorways and major trunk roads in the East Midlands on behalf of the Highways Agency.
Ritchie and Tony rescued a driver from a car after a road accident. They were both at the Awards night and were loudly applauded for their heroic act.
