ClerkMaxwell exhibit at Offshore Europe

16 September 2011

Offshore Europe, held last week in Aberdeen was ClerkMaxwell’s first exhibition as a new Costain Group company.

Held every two years, the exhibition was attended by over 50,000 people and is the largest oil and gas event held outside North America.

The event was opened by Charles Hendry, Minister of State. In his keynote speech he highlighted that 2011 had seen a significant number of new fields approved in the North Sea and that UK companies would have a key role in their development.

Customers attending the event included Shell, BP, Petrobras, ExxonMobil, Centrica and BG with attendees travelling from as far afield as Australia, Brazil, China and the US.

The event gave conference delegates the opportunity to meet with ClerkMaxwell and Costain staff and discover more about the company's multi-discipline engineering, project management and asset support services capabilities.

In addition to exhibiting at Offshore Europe, ClerkMaxwell also hosted two networking receptions at Aberdeen Grammar Rugby Club, where ClerkMaxwell is the principal sponsor. The receptions were well attended by a number of key customers and industry stakeholders.

John Wilson, Managing Director ClerkMaxwell said, “Offshore Europe gave ClerkMaxwell the opportunity to engage with industry decision makers to highlight our full project lifecycle capability and the innovative solutions we’ve delivered for our customers.”

Frank Millar, Sector Director Hydrocarbons & Chemicals added: “After acquiring ClerkMaxwell earlier this year, Offshore Europe provided an ideal platform for ClerkMaxwell to promote their enhanced offering to its customers with the backing and support of Costain.”
