Costain appointed to G-Cloud12 framework on government’s Digital Marketplace

G-Cloud digital procurement

PRESS RELEASE

28 September 2020

Costain has strengthened its portfolio of leading edge digital solutions available to government by winning a place on the new G-Cloud 12 framework.

Available through the Crown Commercial Services’ Digital Marketplace, G-Cloud 12 is the latest iteration of the Digital and Cloud services framework that enables UK public sector organisations to directly procure hosting, software and advisory and support services.

Launched in 2012, the Digital Marketplace aims to ease the procurement process by public sector organisations for Cloud computing services. Public sector organisations can search for people, companies and technology for their projects, assessing providers based on the information given and then selecting the provider that meets their budget and requirements best, saving money, time and resources in researching providers and running a full tender process.

Through the framework, Costain will offer 27 digital delivery and digital advisory services – 10 for Cloud Software (‘Software as a Service’) and 17 under Cloud Support - providing digitally-enabled consultancy to implement or improve a client’s new or existing Cloud-based solution and infrastructure. These will include enterprise architecture, Microsoft Azure solutions (including SharePoint, O365, Dynamics and PowerBI), GIS, BIM, project and programme management (P3M) and carbon management.

“I’m incredibly proud that Costain has secured a place on this important government framework, positioning us well to help our public sector clients quickly and confidently access our leading edge digital expertise. This is an important step in our drive to digitally transform the design, delivery and operation of critical national infrastructure, bringing the best of our digital capabilities to bear on the most complex and urgent problems our clients face.”

Costain’s chief digital officer, Nathan Marsh

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
