Costain attended the first NOF Energy* Conference in Newcastle recently, as VIP guests. 

Martin Land, Power Sector Director, and Peter Laing, General Manager Teesside Operations, represented Costain, hosting discussions with clients and suppliers. 

The event, 'Energy: A Balanced Future', featured presentations by Centrica, Conoco Phillips and Siemens, and was opened by Energy Minister, Charles Hendry. 

Martin Land commented: “We were honoured to be guests at this event. This was a great opportunity to network with key figures in the industry, including important clients such as EDF, Horizon and Centrica.”

Speaking of the event's theme, Martin said: “The challenge facing the UK’s energy market is to maintain security of supply, reduce carbon emissions, and improve affordability. Costain’s skills and experience mean we are ideally placed to ensure the UK builds an energy infrastructure which balances these needs.”
