As part of driving the digital and cultural transformation of the sector at pace to enable better, faster, greener and cheaper design, delivery and operation of infrastructure, Costain reveals the full and growing gamut of its digital capability in a new digital services hub.

Costain’s chief digital officer, Nathan Marsh says: “We’re transforming the sector through two lenses: firstly, by accelerating our own journey to being ‘digital by default’, using technology to greatest effect across our services and operations. Secondly, by working closely with our clients and expanding network of technology partners to collectively be ‘digital by default’.

“This new online hub is part of helping our clients, partners and supply chain understand how we can work together to digitise at pace and realise the full potential of infrastructure investment: an engagement space where you can meet our experts, hear different and hopefully challenging views and leave something for us to work and think on – we are all focussed on a shared endeavour for better, greener and faster delivery of infrastructure.”

Costain believes that while adopting innovative digital solutions at pace, these need to be robust and resilient to ensure infrastructure systems and networks are secure and its users and operators protected. As asset and infrastructure data grows in volume, complexity and reach so does the threat landscape. All Costain’s digital technology products and services are grounded in decades of experience designing, delivering and operating infrastructure; being client side and understanding and mitigating risk. The services are a core part of Costain’s integrated offering alongside consultancy and advisory and complex programme delivery.

Being digital by default in a safe and secure way will enhance the sector’s ability to innovate at pace, to increase productivity and to adapt to new challenges.
