Foreman Saves The Day

17 January 2013

Richard Brownson, Costain General Foreman on the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water Framework, is a local hero after helping to rescue a lorry driver who was trapped in his overturned cab.

Following an accident on the A55 in North Wales, Richard noticed a cloud of white smoke and immediately pulled over to assist. He could see a man trapped in the back of his meat lorry and instinctively tried to free him from the wreckage.

Eventually, with the help of a passerby, they smashed the windows and managed to drag out the injured driver. Richard quickly administered First Aid and waited on the scene until the emergency services arrived.
