Golden Glow To RoSPA Awards

23 July 2015
Costain has turned in another impressive performance in the annual awards presented by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
No fewer than 30 awards have gone to the Group, as the sustained efforts of both the professional SHE staff and personnel ‘at the sharp end’ resulted in a strong safety performance over the year.
There was a distinctly golden sheen to this year’s roll-call of honour, with no fewer than 22 Gold Awards being made, a step up from 2014’s performance when four of the 27awards were silver.
In addition, three Gold Medals were awarded to projects that had achieved a minimum of five consecutive Gold Awards; two President’s Awards (minimum of 10 consecutive Gold Awards) and two Orders of Distinction (minimum of 15 consecutive Gold Awards).
This year, Costain was also the winner of the Astor Trophy Special Award, given for outstanding performance in occupational health.
