Paul Johnson, Costain Commercial Director for the Infrastructure Division, has been awarded a BEM in the New Year’s Honours.

Paul received the recognition for services to Young Carers. Paul is Chair of the Rotary Clubs of Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan Young Carers Network.

“I am delighted to receive this Award as it focuses attention of the problems and depravations suffered by Young Carers,” he said.

“Many care for seriously ill sole parents…..often those with mental, serious physical illness or drug/alcohol problems. Some illnesses are terminal and Young Carers are often orphaned. Through Rotary we teach Young Carers life skills and give them vital support throughout their lives.”
