Humber Project Services Contract Awarded By National Grid

Team Seeks Low-Carbon Supply Chain

Costain, a leading engineering solutions provider, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the project services contract to deliver the replacement of the Humber Estuary Crossing for National Grid.

Planning consent for the replacement pipeline, from the Planning Inspectorate is due in September 2016.

Costain will be providing a full range of project services to National Grid. The works will span across multiple disciplines including health, safety, project management, project controls and planning, commercial management, engineering, risk management and other specialist tunnelling disciplines.

Nigel Curry, Costain Power Sector Director, said: “Costain is delighted to have secured the contract to Programme Manage the delivery of this strategically important and complex project for National Grid. The award of this contract demonstrates Costain's ability to meet its customers’ needs through our broadened Consultancy and Advisory project service offering.

“Our team is very much looking forward to working with National Grid on this exciting project which is scheduled to begin this month (April).”
