The Costain Atkins JV, as part of the eight₂O team working with Thames Water to deliver its AMP6 Capital Programme, has come together under one roof.

Named the CAJV Co-Location Design Hub, the office opened recently and is located at Atkins Woodcote Grove office complex in Epsom, Surrey.

The new office joins a long list of hubs located at Rose Kiln Court, Hampton, Clearwater Court and Maple Lodge, which are all available across the eight₂O alliance providing additional office and meeting space.

eight₂O is transforming investment in water infrastructure by bringing together the best possible combination of industry leading partners to deliver billions of pounds worth of essential work for Thames Water.

The alliance model aims to achieve greater efficiencies in the delivery of Thames Water’s business plan, with a greater emphasis on collaborative team-working, innovation, sustainability and an integrated supply community, in a bid to lock in long-term value to the Company and its customers

“The CAJV Co-Location Design Hub at Atkins Epsom site provides us with additional space in which to work, which encourages integrated and collaborative team working,” said Andy Bull, Head of Costain Atkins CAJV.

The site benefits from a number of meeting and conference rooms, with the largest seating 90 people. The site also comes with its own on-site café, which is open from 0730.

Working with Thames Water, the eight₂O alliance includes two design and build joint ventures made up of Costain and Atkins, and Skanska, MWH and Balfour Beatty, plus MWH as the programme manager and IBM the technology innovation partner.

As the programme moves into delivery, Costain and Atkins will be responsible for delivering half of the overall capital programme. The CAJV headcount is approximately 484, of which 288 are employed by Costain.
