A group of top Costain Graduate Trainees presented ideas on business development to their CEO Andrew Wyllie last week, at the Investec offices in the City of London.

The Trainees, 29 in total, were asked to produce presentations on how Costain could enhance its business in the future.  The Graduates were split into five teams and the presentations were made to Andrew Wyllie accompanied by Tony Bickerstaff, Finance Director and Tracey Wood, Company Secretary.

Few companies give their Graduate Trainees the opportunity to present direct to the CEO on business development. The initiative highlighted Costain’s focus on innovation and the continual drive to promote change and improvement through every facet of operation.

Andrew Wyllie said: "The presentations were first class and several of the ideas will now be looked at in detail and potentially become new areas of business for the Costain Group. In terms of skill, knowledge, focus and enthusiasm, Costain has some of the best Graduates in  industry...this event was confirmation of that fact.”
