Process selection

of favorable recovery options

Costain developed a concept for high recovery of ethylene, which was fully optimised to recover 98% of C2+. A medium recovery option was also presented to the client for around 82% recovery. The options involved the use of ethylene refrigeration and/or feed compression.

The options were presented to the client along with recommendations and further advice was provided on modifications to the feed gas pre-treatment that could result in substantial cost savings.
