"Phenomenal impact on the passenger experience"

I developed my understanding of how large, complex projects run, and how to keep stations such as London Bridge operational.

The first engineering project I worked on was at London Bridge Station on the Jubilee Line extension in 1995 as part of my industrial placement year at the University of Plymouth. I was sponsored by Costain so working on the redevelopment of London Bridge station felt like the natural fit for me.

“Technology such as 3D modelling was vital in helping us compute and navigate the station. We used it as a visualising and coordination tool, which ensured we were aware of any potential clashes before the approval process and long before the construction process – helping us to hit our key milestones.
