The Task
For a major UK Defence contractor, we were tasked with increasing the skills and capability of the contractor’s project control team and designing an end to end project control assessment centre.
Our Role
We were commissioned to:
- Improve project control skills
- Design an end to end assesssment centre
- Develop a project control competence framework
- Designing exercises for the assessment centre
- Run the assessment centre
- Assessing delegate performance
- Provide reporting and feedback on the individuals’ performance
Once the capabilities of the individuals were assessed, a structured programme of practically based training was developed and delivered, focussed on the needs of the individuals and the business. The assessment centre and training delivery was developed and delivered by our experienced project control professionals who were able to impart practical project control knowledge.
Our Impact
We delivered a structured training programme to the contractor’s team. The feedback and outcomes from the training demonstrated that this tailored approach was of significant benefit to the project, as the business saw a direct return on its training investment through an improvement in project control.
