Costain’s commitment to health and safety, occupational health and accident prevention has been recognised at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents’ (RoSPA) 2014 awards.

The Company won a total of 29 RoSPA awards. These included one Order of Distinction, RoSPA’s highest accolade presented to organisations that have received a minimum of 15 consecutive Gold awards, and seven Gold medals, awards presented to organisations that have achieved a minimum of five consecutive Gold awards.

Costain also secured 17 Gold and four Silver awards, which all recognised Costain’s commitment to a safer workplace.

Commenting on the awards, Peter Fisher, Costain’s Group Safety, Health & Environmental Director, said: “We are delighted to be recognised for these RoSPAs. They once again demonstrate the importance of health and safety to everyone in the Group.”
