• Costain will provide consultancy services to support delivery of projects at London Stansted

Costain, the infrastructure solutions company, has been chosen by Manchester Airports Group (MAG) to provide strategic advisory services under its Capital Investment Consultancy Services Framework.

Costain has been awarded a place on the framework which will see it provide specialist project support services in areas including quantity surveying, project management and health and safety to support capital delivery projects at London Stansted Airport. Working in collaboration with other suppliers, Costain will draw on its expertise in aviation project delivery and as a provider of predictable, best-in-class solutions to enhance the UK’s critical infrastructure.

The framework runs for an initial term of five years, with the option of extending for a further three years.

“Costain is a trusted infrastructure partner to the aviation sector with a strong track record of advising and delivering complex projects in live operational working environments. We have a long history of working with MAG and this framework will allow us to deepen our relationship.”

Ann-marie Morrison Sector Director, Integrated Transport at Costain

Ann-marie continues: "We are looking forward to working on a range of capital delivery projects that will support and enhance the operational resilience of London Stansted and ensure it continues to serve as a driver of economic prosperity and growth.”

“The Capital Investment Consultancy Services Framework will provide critical support to the delivery of our Capital Investments Programme. We have been seeking partners with whom we can establish a collaborative, dynamic partnership that will help us deliver the pipeline of projects across the Group."

Andrew Corston Group Procurement Director at MAG

Andrew continues: “Through our continued partnership with Costain and our other partners on the framework we look forward to enhancing our infrastructure to enhance the customer experience unlocking both growth and powering the regional and UK economies.”

The news marks a deepening of Costain’s relationship with MAG and its presence in the aviation sector. Last year, Costain was selected to conduct biodiversity studies for MAG at Manchester Airport and East Midlands Airport to support its sustainability initiatives, and it was also awarded a contract by Heathrow to deliver infrastructure as part of a new baggage system at Terminal 2.
