Costain appointed to deliver major London road upgrade
Transport for London (TfL) has commissioned infrastructure solutions company, Costain, to provide detailed design and construction services for the second phase of improvements to the A40, one of London’s key east-west arteries.

New milestone reached in A30 dualling scheme in Cornwall
Costain, the sustainable infrastructure solutions company has reached another milestone in their work on the A30 Chiverton to Carland Cross dualling scheme in Cornwall. Video footage shows the 32-year-old Tolgroggan bridge between Scorrier and Boxheater near Redruth, being dismantled and removed during a full weekend closure of the road.

Costain to work on 16 Severn Trent sites as part of an £80m package
Costain, the infrastructure solutions company, will use its environmental expertise to work on 16 sites in Severn Trent’s portfolio. The work, which is worth £79.83m, is within the previously announced framework agreement and part of Severn Trent’s Capital Delivery Framework. It will be delivered over the next four years, straddling both the existing and new regulatory periods (AMP7 & AMP8).

Costain to provide blueprint for safety upgrades at UK airports
Infrastructure solutions company, Costain, has been selected by Manchester Airports Group to design critical civils upgrades to Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports. These upgrades will improve the quality and safety of customer journeys for the approximately 50 million passengers who use the airports each year.
