Richard Scott joins Costain on 27 March 2023 to lead external communications and corporate affairs.  

Richard joins Costain from First Group where he was Director of Corporate Affairs for the West Coast Partnership, which runs the Avanti West Coast train service as well as the ‘shadow operator’ for HS2. Richard was responsible for their internal and external communications, including public and government affairs. Richard also worked for Virgin Trains and Heathrow after starting his career as a journalist and spending 14 years with the BBC as a Financial and then Transport Correspondent.
