Targeted mitigation strategies to enable better-informed decision making

Our consultants were engaged by our client to provide risk management and analysis expertise supporting a major defence programme. Our consultants:

1. Conducted a risk management maturity assessment to identify key areas for improvement
2. Completed a forensic analysis of schedule logic and estimates, working jointly with industry parties and contributing stakeholders to develop schedule and cost risk analysis confidence models
3. Supported the MOD team in quantifying, apportioning and transferring risk to suppliers through appropriate commercial mechanisms.

This analysis identified the principal schedule threats, aided the development of more targeted mitigation strategies and enabled better-informed decision making. This work also improved schedule integrity and led to the development of a more credible baseline schedule for the programme.
