Energy & Process Appoints Operations Director

Costain Energy & Process has appointed John Meakin as Operations Director.
John has been with the Company for four years, and will take up his position in April 2011.
In his new role, John will support the Power, Nuclear Process and Hydrocarbons and Chemicals sectors, and will be responsible for the direction, growth and development of the division’s project delivery capabilities, systems and resources.
John started his career in marine engineering, moving on to work for companies such as GEC and Rolls Royce Power Engineering. He joined Costain in April 2007 as Senior Project Manager, bidding, winning and leading the execution of the E.ON Holford Underground Gas Storage project. John will remain in his current post until the project achieves the customer’s key milestone of de-brining in early April.
As well as his engineering qualifications, John has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies. He is currently attending the Costain Project Management Academy and is a Member of the Association of Project Management.
