Looking To The Future

17 May 2012

‘Developing Costain for the Future’ was the theme when Costain Senior Managers met with Company Chairman David Allvey, Senior Independent Director John Bryant and Company Secretary Tracey Wood this week.

The Senior Management, in four teams, were given the opportunity to present their ideas on ‘Tomorrow’s’ Costain with particular emphasis on innovation and continuing the transformation of Costain into a leading Engineering Solutions Provider. This event followed the successful Graduate/CEO seminar in April when the Company’s top Graduates presented their ideas on the future to Andrew Wyllie, CEO.

David Allvey said: “That Graduate day was a definite success. The Graduates embraced the challenge and produced some good ideas. Their Senior Management colleagues did the same. We had a challenging and rewarding day and we will be analysing and discussing the results which will no doubt contribute when shaping the future direction of Costain.

“This Company is constantly embarking on change and improvement. We want to encourage innovation at all levels. Our customers demand continual improvement and we cannot disappoint. Events such as these ensure complacency is kept at bay and future success is achieved.”

‘The Costain Boost’ – Ian Graves, Power Director, Debra Costello, Financial Controller, Emma Laverty, Solicitor, Gren Edwards, Rail Director, David Taylor, Commercial Director.
